Priorities, Priorities!!

The fun is when you do it first time honestly without looking at the answer.
Sigmund Freud's Priorities
Five things are happening in your house at the same time.
In which sequence would you solve them?
1. The telephone is ringing!
2. The baby is crying!
3. Someone's knocking or calling you from the front door!
4. You hung the clothes out to dry and it is beginning to rain!
5. You left the tap on in the kitchen and the water is already overflowing!
In which sequence would you solve these problems? First write YOUR sequence from 1 to 5 then check the first comment how your decisions were made.

My response was 2,5,3,4,1. The logic behind my answer was: I had to tend to the baby first because I really cant stand crying babies,(y'all know there are some Pavarotti-upper-register cries)so thats my main focus, then rush to the sink(have had a flooding in my kitchen twice this year, not fun at all), I'd then go to the door because for some-one to be hollering at me by my door they really know me, and since they know me, they could help me take the clothes down from the washing line. The phone, ah well, it will go to voicemail and they'll leave a message!!...Yup I thought this through..LOL...and once you find out about each task,Shona didnt need Freud to tell me that's how my priority list is, lol, its just so spot on..lol...the tap had to be in the top 2...lol...

PS: You know how I get bored easily right, I'm off Facebook, my phone's now semi-permanently on silent(I return calls should they be worthy) and now I'm contemplating going off blogville for a while..Lemme join Afro and Parakeet on that hiatus..lol..(I feel my writing's now stagnant and/or boring if I say so myself. This blog was where I could escape to whilst writing London Tears, I've finished that project, and maybe it drained my writing juices...) I'll still comment on your pages BUT I'm kinda not feeling it @ the moment...?And having taken several projects on, plus law school, my time is becoming less and less!!Who knows I just might miss you much and get back here manyana.as the key word was contemplating.lol...

True rnb folks go and get Beyonce's new album(i didnt Limewire this one, its a legit purchase..lol)....there's some great music on that album...Ave Maria, Halo, Hello, Brokenhearted Girl and hmmm Ego has a sublimnal message *its too big, too strong, wont fit,*...lmao... sounds like she be talking about Jigga's eerrr errr...lol

Dudes, Shona is saying Love you dude and as always happy sexing xoxo

Answer: Every individual point represents something in your life. On the list you can see which meaning every point has:
1. Telephone represents Work
2. Baby represents Family
3. Door represents Friends
4. Clothes represent Money
5. Tap represents Sex
Your chosen sequence determines the priorities in your life.

Now....did you also turn off the tap first ???...
LOL...well, I had family first before s.e.x, then friends, then money and then work...so spot on for moi!!

i did a 2,5,1,3,4.

i guess family comes first for me. Then sex? wow!

5,2,3,4,1

Babies dont die from crying. Water on my wooden floors- not cool. plus not up for the cleaning up.

Pick baby up, see who's at the door. As for the clothes they can go into the dryer or be hung outside again to dry. As for the phone- the person can leave a message- if urgent will call back. better still i'll call them back.

lol. funny.

What do you mean tap represents sex? Let me catch you, lol.

Like Tigress said, a running tap can do a lot of damage and babies do not die from crying. True.

Afronuts said...

Hey! Shona did u say u're going off blogville?

Haaa!! Not another moribund blog!!
Too many blogs are dying...pls dont go o!

I guess the noise of the baby crying will hurry me to carry her and then rush to turn off the tap.

I agree with those who said babies don't die from crying. I'll definitely turn off the wa... hold up, It all just made sense to me...lol I'm getting some regularly, so I don't understand how I could put sex before Money...lol I guess you know where my mind is @ ;-)

Don't leave, Shona... Pweeeaaaseeee! *with big brown puppy eyes, pleading, filled with tears...

rationale: a flooded kitchen is no joke, the clothes can get a little wet, they can dry a little bit inside. baby crying? let the baby excercise his lungs. there's always voicemail!

This was my response.

Babies come first and then I'd answer the door first afterwards if it was someone I knew. I'd turn the water off as soon as I shut the door behind my guest. Hopefully the answering machine has caught the call but I'm not returning it until I get those clothes in and rewash them. The phone call was probably from my sister and I've already talked to her 5 times earlier that day. haha

I like this post. I might use something like this on my blog.

Temite will ignore all five of this and go in her bedroom and sleep. The person at the door can pick up the crying baby and turn off the tap. the clothes may go to hell for all I care and the person at the door is probably the idiot calling me in the first place. I guess what I am trying to say is I AM EXHAUSTED!!!

Shona Lovey, I know how you feel, but blogville is seriously fun, come back when you feel like it!

will just check why he/she is crying. to c if its 4 something other than food.

Then rushs of to pack my clothes. Theres nothing as painful as dried clothes getting wet by rain.

Hmmm, seems 'tis for females only??? Well, feeling quite lazy at the moment and not wanting it seem, the question was dodged.........i'll just say, 1,2,3,4,5 or 5,4,3,2,1 either is the fastest answer without having to think.

...and we always return to finish the journey we started.

archiwiz said...

I'll do 4,5,2,1,3. And it appears I'll chase money first. LOL... I'm not fond of rain on my clothes so that's the first for me. As I'm coming back with the clothes I'll turn off the tap, then go and pick the baby, answer the phone (the person will hear the baby crying and I'll ask to call back later), and then answer the door (cos the person knows someone is home bcos they can probably hear the baby crying.) :D

Yeparipa! So my priorities are Money, Sex, Family, Work, then friends? Hmmm...assuming the sex is with my husband...its not too bad then.... :D

archiwiz said...

Hmmm... so I'm the only one that started with 4? Hmmmmm.....

Jinta said...

25431 for me

2. Baby comes 1st
5. Tap represents expense to me if the house floods
4. Who wants to bring in wet clothes?
3. Dont mind keeping them waiting
1. Sod the phone. They can call back or leave a message

can't start mopping the floor, so i'll put the tap off first, find out wats up with the baby, open the door on my way out to get my clothes..let the guest let themself in while i run to go get my clothes. voice mail can pick the call..

so i see it is sex, baby, friends, money then work..lol...

dont go ooooo

Hmmm, you are an amazing writer

My point will be:

1 (Because I live my work, it's a passion and a calling)

3, 4, 2 , 5

Weird choice huh?

~Sirius~ said...

Awww, don't go too...
Anyways I would answer as follows
1. Turn off tap 1st...Pls can't afford to mop up afterwards.
2. Pick up my clothes afterwards, I refuse to suffer more hours of having them dry.
3. Answer the door, If I were knocking on someone's door, I'd hate to be kept waiting.
4. Answer my phone, and tell who ever to call back.
5. Baby last, Yep, not like he/she would stop crying immediately I pick him/her up....they need undivided attention.

B Fan in the house....Loving Disappear, Halo's hot (for me), Ego quite likeable, what the hell did she do with DIVA- try to go gangster??? LOL!

Nwa Chi said...

Mine was 2, 3, (ask 3 to shut the tap (5) or bring the clothes (4) in, depending on who is at the door) then go answer the phone or call back....

Can't imagine asking someone to do 4 and 5 for me !

Thank you for dropping by my blog.
