the guy from Zim may actually work for the US embassy...#justsaying are there any unpaid representatives in that room. It also kinda looks like Stedman is in there too. I admire Obama and his position but this was like a ploy to get subliminal messages to the countries' leaders. And and those who are asking are protected so they can afford to ask those questions without fear of being reprimanded back home. There are truly no selfless heroes.
Have to say though, it is painfully obvious how little the president knows about what's actually going on in African countries. When he asks, 'why can't African countries be agriculturally self-sustaining,' for instance, it's almost jaw-dropping. Agriculture sectors in African nations face chronic under-performance because of subsidies to US agriculture multi-nationals that the president himself continues to sign into law at budget time.
Unreal. He loves to pat himself on the back for these photo-ops, but he seems completely out to lunch that he and his government are continually entrenching policies that drive underdevelopment in African nations and developing countries internationally.
An Obama fan for sure. I do like him, it's just that America plungers into economic chaos at the moment. I believe eh can do something to alleviate it.

Noticed the young man behind Obama, you can see the awe and wonder in his eyes while the President is delivering his speech.
