The Learn Something New Today Challenge!

So, reading through another blog there was mentioning of Ciara dating a relative of Al Mudi, and since i didnt know who the heck this guy was I did what any normal human being would do. Googled him baby! And then I had the 'Well i never' look on my face as I learnt about these folks

Mohammed Al Amoudi is the richest black man in the world! Born in Ethiopia and now a Saudi citizen, Al Amoudi made his fortune in construction and real estate before betting on Swedish and Moroccan oil refineries. His Svenska Petroleum conducts oil exploration from the Nordic shelf to the Ivory Coast. He is the largest private investor in Ethiopia, putting money into such diverse assets as a hotel, gold mines and a food processing plant. Forbes Magazine 2008 ranked him at no. 77 richest folk in the world and he is a net worth of $9 billion.

Alahaji Aliko Dangote is the second richest black person in the world! Yes, he's richer than Oprah! His current net worth is estimated to be around $3.3billion. At age 21, Dangote borrowed some money from his uncle and became a trader. He eventually built his Dangote group into a conglomerate with interests in sugar, flour milling, cement and salt processing. He hit the jackpot and became his nation's first billionaire, when his sugar production company listed on the Nigerian stock exchange last year. Plans to take his cement and flour businesses public have stalled.
Now you know we had to have a brotha from the Southern parts representing us right!! Johannesburg mining magnate Patrice Motsepe is South Africa's first black billiionaire and his net worth is a whopping $2.4billion. Motsepe became the first black partner at Johannesburg's Bowman Gilfillan law firm, before starting a low-level conracting business doing mine scutt work. Bought low-producing gold mine shafts in 1994, turned them profitable using lean, mean management style. Since then, built $875 million (sales) mining conglomerate, African Rainbow Minerals (ARM), with interests in a wide swath of minerals: precious metals (platinum and its cousins), nickel, chrome, iron, manganese and coal.
Well folks I hope this Vixen taught you something new today. If you didnt know..now you know!!
